Matthew Walters, MS, LPC – Clinical Supervisor
Matthew Walters graduated in 2013 from Cairn University with Masters in Christian Counseling. While completing his Masters program he began at Pyramid Healthcare working at the Quakertown Adolescent Inpatient facility. Following that time, he has worked in the Allentown Outpatient facility providing mental health and substance abuse therapy, as well as in the Bristol Outpatient facility providing various level of substance abuse treatment all within the Pyramid Healthcare system. He transitioned to Mazzitti and Sullivan- Harrisburg location in 2018 and currently serves as the Dual Diagnosis Outpatient Counselor. Matthew has a passion for helping clients work through hurt and adversity, in order to help them find healing and hope, as they pursue changes that will bring them a brighter future.
Amy Sandell, BA
Amy is a Pennsylvania Certification Board Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor since 2002, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Lock Haven University in 1994. Amy has been in the field of Substance Use Disorders in the direct capacities of counseling and clinical supervision since 2000. She is passionate about working with individuals seeking recovery, as addiction has personally affected her life and family. Amy facilitates the Adult Intensive Outpatient Group (IOP) at Mazzitti and Sullivan Counseling in the Hershey office and focuses her work with adult clients.
Mary Diskerud, LCSW
Mary earned her undergraduate degree in Psychiatry from Towson University and received her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland. Mary has worked in the field of behavioral health for nearly 20 years, spending the early part of her career in the hospital setting before moving to outpatient services. She has spent most of her career within varying levels of supervisory duties and currently serves as a Clinical Director for Mazzitti and Sullivan’s Hershey office.
Mary works with clients of all ages, focusing primarily on the adult population. She is dually trained and has a diverse caseload of clients struggling with a variety of diagnoses and issues. Mary is also lead clinician for Mazzitti and Sullivan’s Professionals program, providing level of care assessments as well as running the ongoing outpatient support groups and maintaining collateral contacts with clients licensing bodies and regulatory requirements.
Melissa Dailey, MSW
Melissa obtained a dual bachelor’s degree in both Criminology and English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in 2010, before entering the field of Social Work. Melissa graduated with her Master’s degree in Social Work from Widener University, and is currently working towards obtaining her license (LSW) through the state of Pennsylvania.
Melissa has worked with a variety of clients and age groups, including both adolescents/children and adults; she has provided treatment to address mental health conditions, trauma, and substance use disorders. Melissa provides individual therapy at the Hershey office, and is also one of the facilitators of the Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) currently focusing her clinical services on the adult population.
Emily Yohman, MS
Emily graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and from Messiah College with a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Currently, she is working on gaining her supervision hours to become a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. Emily has worked with a variety of age groups and has a therapeutic focus in Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders.
