Internships with Mazzitti & Sullivan Counseling
Mazzitti & Sullivan Counseling Services offers a robust training experience for practicum, externship and internship students working towards their master’s degree. With 3 locations in the Capital Region of Pennsylvania, students have the opportunity to observe a variety of strategies and theoretical models in the treatment of substance use disorders.
Students are exposed to our treatment philosophy while working with our adult and adolescent clients in Partial Hospitalization Programs and Intensive Outpatient Programs. Students have the chance to observe, and in some cases facilitate, assessments, group therapy sessions, treatment planning, family/support system sessions, case management and aftercare planning while engaging in group supervision and professional development opportunities.
