Our Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services
Mazzitti & Sullivan Counseling Services provides comprehensive outpatient treatment services for adults, teens, and families struggling with substance use throughout Dauphin, Cumberland/Perry and Lebanon counties. We offer a full range of drug and alcohol counseling services designed to help you or a loved one address an addiction, while working towards a state of mental, emotional, and spiritual stability throughout the treatment process.
Our Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are effective treatment options for individuals who have either finished a residential program or require an outpatient setting for substance abuse counseling. We also offer dual-diagnosis treatment for those suffering from co-occurring mental health issues and addiction.
Partial Hospitalization Program
Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) at Mazzitti & Sullivan Counseling provide daily treatment for individuals struggling with substance use problems like drug and alcohol addiction. These programs are designed to be flexible and accommodate the schedules of patients who may be enrolled in school, or those who have jobs. We can also accommodate individuals with a secondary diagnosis of mental health disorders.
We provide a structured environment that uses cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused therapies, and experiential treatment options to help you or a loved one cope with substance use disorder and possible co-occurring conditions.
Partial-day programs like this are often an appropriate option for adults and teens who have successfully completed a detox rehab program and are taking the next step in their recovery. Mazzitti & Sullivan Counseling offers PHP treatment for adults as well as adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18.
Intensive Outpatient Treatment
An intensive outpatient program (IOP) is for individuals who require daily treatment from trained clinicians but do not require inpatient rehabilitation at a residential facility. This option allows patients to carry on with their daily lives while receiving the proper help to cope with addiction and other challenges. For individuals facing substance use and a co-occurring mental health disorder, we offer a Dual Diagnosis IOP.
Our drug and alcohol counselors meet with patients several times per week and treat substance use disorders through a variety of proven therapeutic approaches. Patients will engage in multiple group therapy sessions per week, as well as individual sessions with a licensed counselor. IOP group sessions are kept small in order to best serve every participant’s needs.
We provide intensive outpatient treatment for both teens and adults in Harrisburg, Hershey, Mechanicsburg, and the surrounding areas. These programs are offered at all three of our counseling centers.

In effort to make treatment as accessible as possible, we can provide roundtrip transportation for several of our adolescent counseling groups and IOP groups.
